I recently purchased a Clan Crest Mug (SC-MG07 invoice and transaction #32124) for my son's b-day. I realize it was sent all the way to Iowa, USA; but, having chosen Air-Mail for method of shipment, I was surprised it took 1 month for delivery (ordered on 7/23/19 and delivered on 8/19/19) I realize that Scotland is quite a distance from Iowa, but a month is a really long time for delivery. However, the distance somehow makes it somewhat acceptable. I had sent an email to your site (scotclans.com I tried sending to supportscotclans.com, but it came back to me as undeliverable, so sent to the scotclans.com site instead) yesterday (8/20/19) and it included a copy of the shipping/billing receipt (Clan Crest Mug - 8.33 Packaging and packing - 7.49 Gift wrapping - 7.49 Gift message - 1.68 for a total of 28.30. The prices are either Pounds or Euros, not USD dollars. The package came in a plain box with styrofoam packing and WAS NOT giftwrapped, even though you charged me for such a service; also, on your site, it shows packages wrapped in a plaid wrapping? I had also thought that the extra charge for a gift message was for a card or such and it was actually just printed on the bottom right corner of the shipping/billing receipt. That could be my bad, for assuming it would be a card of some sort. I would like to point out that the Clan Crest Mug was everything you had advertized it to be with great craftsmanship. I would think that, out of fairness and basic business practices, you would refund to my credit card the amount for services charged for, but NOT provided. I am a painting contractor running my own small business and, if I were to be so slip-shod in my dealings, I would no longer be in business. However, the fact that you sent me this chance to review you order and your business, I am assuming it was just an oversight on your part. Yesterday, I ordered a similar Clan Crest Mug for my grandson and, hopefully, you will subtract the charges not provided from the charge for my grandson's Mug on my credit card. Please show me that you are a reputable business and make this oversight charge right!!! Sincerely, John H. MacDonald 4746 W. Pt. Loma Blvd. #5 San Diego, CA 92107-1488

Disappointed! Ordered two special shirts in June to wear in August, for gathering of the clans, very slow delivery. One is much too small, not enough time to return and replace. Will not order anything again that needs to fit. Next time I am in Edinburgh I will buy where I can try on first. Shirts are just mid-level American quality, way overpriced, even with a nice appliqué . Learned my lesson!

I love Scotclans for their products and for the service I have gotten in the past. I have ordered from the company for over five years. This time around, I ordered a vest on October 15, 2018 and didn't receive it until May 6, 2019. I was expecting the vest within 6-8 weeks or by Christmas--it didn't arrive for over six and a half months. The Scotclans customer service responded to my inquiries but ineffective in getting me the vest until half a year after I ordered it. Scotclans didn't offer any compensation for the wait. The explanations were understandable before Christmas, but there weren't convincing explanations in January, February, March, April and May. When the product shipped there wasn't an apology or recognition of the half year delay. I love the products, but can't rely on the company anymore.

The quality of the t-shirt was extremely poor. I've never seen such a sheer t-shirt. You could practically see through it. Not at all what I anticipated for the price. I have shopped through your site in the past and have always been satisfied with the product...not so this time! Mike

I cannot write a thorough review of your services as I have not actually received my order despite ordering back in January. Now being March? I’m disappointed that I still have not received my parcel and despite contacting you several times, of late I have not received any response either. What happens in this situation - A refund? Express post? An apology? If you could let me know that would be great.

I ordered 3 shirts, one for myself and 2 sons. The shirt manufacture is fruit-a-loom and appears to be good quality. The issue I have is the crest that we had put on the shirt is an iron on patch and not embroidered. For the cost of the shirt and to ship it from Scotland I would have thought the crest would have been of much higher quality. I am worried after a few washes the ironed on patch will wrinkle and not look so nice. My bad for not paying closer attention to what the crest was made of. Not sure it even says.

I was disappointed in the bow tie I ordered. It was listed as a "junior" size but it was too small for a 9 year old.....should be worn by a 5 year old or younger. I ordered the Hamilton plaid----which should be red and blue, but the material was more orange than red. It did not look like the Hamilton plaid that I know about. I was very disappointed.

I ordered £80 worth of goods back in September. After 2 weeks I contacted Scotclans to see what was happening with my order and was told it would be dispatched within a couple of weeks. Two months later it had still not arrived so I contacted them again. There was a problem with the availability of the type of tartan which I had requested so I amended my order. the goods came within 10 days and were fine. Why should I have had to do all the chasing? Must be some glitch in the order processing system?

While the product that I ordered was perfect - when it finally arrived - what I had to go through to get it was less than acceptable. I was assured, by ScotClans, that DHL would deliver to USA post office boxes, and I paid well for that service. When DHL's website was showing the package as "delivered," it was no where near my post office box. No one knew where it was for the next five days. When I contacted ScotClans, I was told - multiple times - that DHL did deliver to post office boxes (which DHL tells me they never do) and that I should "check with my local post office." Since I referenced checking with my post office in all my emails to ScotClans, I found the suggestions impossible to comprehend. At no time did anyone at ScotClans offer to check DHL in Scotland to see what might have happened to my package. By some weird quirk, my package ended up being delivered to our physical address (an apartment complex) which I had never given to ScotClans, so I have no idea how DHL got the address. I understand that mailing items anywhere, especially between countries, can have challenges but I was really disappointed in ScotClans semi-ridiculous responses to my multiple and frequent requests for help. Will never order again.

wrote this on Dec 18: Hello Rodger, Amanda, Rowan, and Harvey--plus Floyd the dog---- Your organization sounds like a wonderful family operation, but I certainly feel as though I've been hustled with my purchase of 11 ornaments, SC-CCCO01--Small Antique Style Christmas Ornament--at a total price of 96.64 pounds....which converts to many more dollars for me in the United States. I can't conceive that you would have made an ornament--or any display item for that matter--that has to be looked at with a high-powered magnifying glass to see the clan name. I was shocked by the size. When you say "small".....you mean really, really small. It goes into oblivion on any Christmas tree....and perhaps the only best use is to wear the item around the neck to give it any presence at all, and keep it from getting lost. Really ... do you think in good conscience you should be selling this tiny coin-size item as something to display on a tree .... or anywhere?? This does not set a good tone for your family name. I ordered the decorations for all my family members who traveled to Scotland with me and my husband last summer to visit the Maclachlan Castle, east of Loch Fyne. They were to be especially significant because we lost my husband, their father/grandfather, to cancer while still on the trip. I just want you to know my disappointment in receiving a product that is so inferior to the item expected and the price paid. No ornament to hang or display should ever be so small that, even with with my glasses and a magnifier, I had trouble discovering if you had written the correct clan name. On your webpage, I could view the ornament in full-living color as anyone would expect such an item to be seen. I did not expect a tennis-ball size ornament upon arrival, but certainly I didn't expect one either that required squinting to see. If you're not going to change the size of what you offer, I would certainly not call your product ornamentation for the tree. Thank you for your attention to my concerns, Shirley Jones 2424 Cochran Rd, #6 Lodi, CA 95242 USA

Somewhat disappointed in the quality-price ratio for the object purchased (clan crest plaid brooch). Ricki McAllister.

Very disappointed with the product. I expected a shirt manufactured in Scotland for authenticity; instead it was made in Bangladesh . I could have just ordered one from Amazon.com at a much lower price with free shipping.

The keyring was nice, very small font though. Customer service could do with some improvement. There was no indication of how long the order would take to arrive and when I emailed after waiting 2 weeks with the response I received was terse.

Claimed they had waited two weeks but it was less than this before dispatch - claimed they had paid for First Class Mail when they hadn't, now claim email response to their enquiry was sent the same day was terse - here it is: Hi Your keyring has been made and will be leaving us today, they take 1-2 weeks to have made you selected UK standard mail not first class, this is second class. Second class takes 1-2 working days so you will receive it tomorrow or Monday. Kind Regards ScotClans As regards the clan name - well it is small as can be seen on the product image

Very disappointed with both service and quality of product, I was looking forward to receiving t shirt but disappointed that it took around 6 weeks to receive item and then to find that for the price it was only an iron on transfer and not a laser print as I expected, I will not be using company again

Transfer is very light in coloring (chose green ink on khaki tone shirt). The clan name was missing from under the crest.

This design does not have the clan name - this is clear on the design, also the design pictured is dark green on Khaki - its meant to be an antiqued finish so this is how it looks - garment was exactly as pictured in the product image on the site
