“I ordered a sash and a men's wool tie in our respective family tartans to wear for a Burns' Night dinner. They look fantastic and were a big hit at the event. We will wear them for years to come!”

“ScotClans were very pleasant to talk to as I telephoned my order for a Brown modern sash. The lady to whom I spoke explained that nothing could be done before 6 January when the formal Christmas break finished. I was told it could be up to 10 days to deliver but, in fact, it arrived earlier with the pretty brooch I had also ordered. I really enjoyed wearing it at my Burns' Night function. It is good quality, attractive and appropriate. I shall recommend your firm should anyone be seeking similar tartan items. Mrs M Jefferies”

“I am very pleased with Scotclans customer service. I was delighted to find a gift for a friend that is well made and authentic but I was not confident it would be a smooth transaction because I live in US. I emailed customer service with a concern regarding my order and the response was immediate and followed up with a phone call from to reassure me I had ordered the scarf I wanted. She called on a tense day at work and her courteous and soothing voice was beyond customer service, it was practically a pat on the hand from my grandmother. I will be a returning customer.”

“I was dissapointed in the product. I had visited Edinburgh a few years ago and bought a Stewart clan crest. It was wonderful. Had details of the meaning of the crest on the back. The front of the crest was very detailed and high quality workmanship. I expected the same quality from Scots Clan. This crest was purchased as a gift for my son-in-law, who is a Gordon. I decided not to give him the gift since he has seen the Stewart clan crest and I am afraid of offending him with this gift. I am an ex-pat from the North East of England, I plan on waiting until my next visit to Edinburgh to purchase another, better quality crest.”

It is made very clear on the product description that this plaque has a printed crest image, its not the same as the woodcarver plaque you mention and its considerably cheaper. We sell the carved crest plaques on the site and these are as you describe (though none of the manufacturers include the clan history anymore) .

“I consider that the belt i purchased is not fit for purpose. It has a fastener that does not work and only has one strap holder. I am very disatisfied would like a refund regatrds dennis tickle”

“Both ordered items arrived fairly quickly, considering that they had to come across The Pond, and were in good condition upon receipt. The mug was just what I expected. It was very gratifying to have a hot-drinks mug with my paternal grandmother's maiden name (Craig) on itt. My father remembered her fondly enough to make that my middle name. The book was certainly interesting enough; some of the tricks the Scottish whiskey smugglers came up with to get their product to market were ingenious. Their traditions, determination to get their product to market, and general orneriness have lived on in our own moonshiners, many of whom were, and are, Scots-Irish. I did find myself wishing for an expanded glossary, due to the differences between British and American English and units of measurement. Again, overall, very interesting. “My Outlander shawl is amazing! I actually didn't know that wool could be so soft - I had to double check the label to see what it was. I think the shawl is really good quality so I'll be able to wear it for years and years. I've already gotten tons of compliments on it even from people who have no idea what Outlander is :) Perfect winter piece.”
