“Notice charges to CC in March, Product did not ship until May 6th, arrive today May 26th. Understand delay is in part to Covid-19”

As you have said in your review the delay was down to the Covid-19 situation. The item you ordered was a custom embroidered fleece and polo shirt and the order was placed just as the lockdown hit. We were forced by the government to close and this caused the initial delay. After considerable effort we worked out a way of keeping our family business going by having myself and my wife taking on the majority of tasks and coming in to the workplace. However the suppliers had all initially closed down too so we were unable to get hold of stock to complete orders. After taking health advice the supplier we got the blanks from to embroider onto was able to also open with a skeleton staff as they were also assisting in the manufacture and supply of PPE - however as PPE was their priority we had to wait until they were able to ship to us - this we understood completely. As soon as we were able to get the blanks we then completed the embroidery jobs. The order was dispatched on May 6th - however again as the mail systems are prioritising essential supplies even though this was sent with an express tracked service the delivery has taken longer than it would under normal circumstances. The company who collects our reviews counts 3 stars as a negative review. There was nothing more we could have done to get your (non essential) garment faster than we did under the unprecedented circumstances we are all suffering from.

“The product I purchased, a clan crest badge, was of beautifully polished, highest quality pewter. It looks like silver. Delivery was as quick as expected. If there was any delay, it was only by the US Postal Service.”

“Scotclans' service has been very good in the past but there has been poor communication in waiting for my 2 orders. The first I made in January and I was still waiting for the throw when Lockdown came in March. I had by then made a second order of a throw and once again there was an acknowledgement of the order but no follow through to say there would be a delay until I emailed. The Buchanan throw I bought is just what I wanted. The Black Watch tartan throw ordered in January has not been made yet. this information was only given to me when I made an enquiry. I wish to continue waiting for the throw but I would have preferred to be informed of a delay during the interim, certainly after the first month since ordering. Such a shame as I like to support a Scottish firm particularly as I had such good service, especially from Margaret, in the past.”

“Hallo liebes Team von ScotClans, als erstes vielen Dank. Der Kilt ist wunderschön. Sehr gute Qualität wie beschrieben und genau passend. Sehr zu empfehlen. In dieser Hinsicht, gern wieder. Leider finde ich die Anfertigungszeit und Lieferzeitraum unangemessen. Fünf Wochen nach meinem Bestelltermin hatte ich noch keine Auskunft über Anfertigungszeitraum oder Versandzeit. Auf meine Anfrage per Mail wurde mir ihrerseits mitgeteilt, dass meine Maßangaben so nicht möglich wären herzustellen. Daraufhin änderte ich die Länge auf ihr Anraten. Nach einer weiteren Woche verkündeten sie mir den Produktionsbeginn. Nach meiner Bestellung und Zahlung am 04.02.2020 erhielt ich den Kilt am 04.05.2020. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Karsten Schützmannsky Hello dear ScotClans team, first of all thank you very much. The kilt is beautiful. Very good quality as described and exactly fitting. We recommend. In this regard, gladly again. Unfortunately, I find the production time and delivery period inappropriate. Five weeks after my order date, I had no information about the production period or shipping time. On my request by email, I was informed that my measurements would not be possible. I then changed the length at her advice. After another week they announced the start of production to me. After my order and payment on February 4th, 2020 I received the kilt on May 4th, 2020. “Amanda was amazing from the 1st contact. I ordered a kilt for my husband's 60th birthday, so we had to keep it a surprise. She kept me informed all the way through the process, sending beautiful photographs of her incredible work. Even during lockdown she managed to get my kilt finished and delivered to France the day before his birthday. I would highly recommend without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you. Vanessa”
